He just needs a root beer in his hand!
To answer the questions, Hayden has an umbilcal hernia. His ab muscles just didn't close right, so his belly button sticks out a little bit (about a 1/2 inch). They say it isn't painful. I guess they put a little net in there and that holds everything in until the ab muscles grow together. Most of what I read on the internet says most cases fix themselves by the time the child is one, but Dr. Comerci wants us to go on and talk to the surgeon. So we will see what he has to say. Dr. Robert Jones is his name, I have never heard of him but I hear he is good. This happens in about 20% of infants. I wonder if it's because he had so much trouble with gas when I was nursing, and he strained a lot. Just a theory.

Hayden got a kick -n- crawl. It has a mirror that hangs down over him and he loves to look at Baby Hayden! It also has a ball he can kick, and he likes doing that too. He has reached for a couple of things, mainly the spoon when I am feeding him. He loves that cereal! He eats it every morning and every night. Almost finishes the bowl! So maybe this will inspire him to reach some more.
