Catch-Up

Hayden is getting stronger everyday. He holds his head up so well! I am impressed with him. The last two nights he slept in his crib in his own room. He did really well, only wakes up to eat. I would like to try to give him cereal so he'll sleep longer, but am holding off for a little while yet. A lot of the women at work tell me they started at anywhere from 3 days to 6 weeks, but until I feel totally comfortable with it, I can still get up at night. We have started giving him formula during the day. He does seem to sleep a little bit longer that way and he is with the babysitter at least a couple days a week.

I have been reading to him every night. We have a couple of new books and a couple of old ones from when I was a kid too. He loves it. He smiles and giggles at me, so I love it too.

Loren is back to work full-time which is working out fine. Jean from next door is wonderful. She loves watching him and he's really good for her. She even came over on Monday just so I could run to the store and not take Hayden out in the rain. I am going to get spoiled, I hope she plans on sticking around for around 4 years or so.

Our night out was a success. Mom and Dad said Hayden was "an angel". I was so glad. They were a little tired, but I think they really enjoyed it. I sure was tired. I am not used to staying up past 9 or 10 these days. We had a great time though, and it was great to see everybody.

Last Friday we went out a-visitin'. We stopped to see Grandma at the bank, and Hayden got to meet all her co-workers. He was really good for her there too.

Then we went to the newspaper to see Aunt Heather and got a quick meal. His Aunt Heather loves him a whole bunch. If I don't get him over to meet her parents, they may stop speaking to me. Gotta put that on the list.

I think overall we are doing really well. I am so proud of him sleeping in his own bed in his own room.
