So, Hayden will only take this binkie.

It's the newborn Soothie from the hospital. I looked at Walmart and Target and had no luck finding any extras. After 2 months of holding on to it, I lost it. I had it in the middle of the night and when Loren asked in the morning, I said "it's on the table." He said "no, it's not". It was gone. I called the OV Nursery and explained the dilemma. The lady was very nice as she said that many others had the same problem, and that she could not help me. I was so bummed out.
Ding-dong, Heather's momma works at OV! We called her and she came through with TWO, count them, TWO binkies from Central Supply. I only had to promise that I would bring the baby to see them soon. Cathy said she would like to see him before he goes to school, not a problem.
I got home that night and was warming a bottle for Hayden. Here comes Jake. Walking in the kitchen with what in his mouth? THE BINKIE! Jake stole it. I have no idea where he had it all day long, but he knew. He held on to it all day long and then he brought it out later.
Jake has had some jealously issues. I have been HIS momma for the last five years with no competition. He hasn't shown any anger, just depression. He goes in the guest bedroom and tucks his head in the corner, just enough to break your heart. I figure he won. Hayden and Loren were both mad at me because I lost it. He divided them against me.
However, in the long run, I won. Kroger in St.C sells them. I bought all three packages, 6 binkies. Since then, I still have found Jake with one. We just let him know that it IS NOT his toy. Hopefully we can get this straightened out like everything else. I am sure we will. But what an experience!
I have started giving Jake some treats. He is allergic to dog food, so he is not allowed any dog treats. He and Cassady both haven't had them in at least two years. So I give him cheese slices. He deserves some goodness too.
Here's a great photo of Jake and Brady. He's very good with children, it just might take him a bit to accept that Hayden is our child, his child too.

Don't you love his butterfly wings?
