Spoke too soon ....

My little guy got sicker. By Sunday evening, he had been running a fever of 104 for two days, so I called the doctor. They told me to take him into the ER. You can't mess around with that. So we did. $150 ER co-pay, and yes, I work for the insurance company. They gave him a big ole' shot of Motrin and sent us home saying it was something "viral" and it just had to run it's course. We decided to chalk it up to a valuable learning experience. He's all better now. He finally got his appetite back this weekend. It was really freaking me out that he didn't eat for a week, but now he's eating like normal.

The new job is going well. I am swamped, beyond belief, but I love it. Its the pace I am used to. I had a 2 hour meeting Monday morning and had 9 voice mails and 32 emails when I got done. Everybody needs something yesterday. But, I really, really like it. A week from Monday I leave for St. Louis for sales training. I'll be there a week. Mom, Loren and Jeannie will work it out. It takes a village, ya know, or at least that's what they say.

That's the great thing about working for a national company, they take their training seriously, which I am so glad for. I go to Bethesda, MD in June, for underwriting school. I actually leave on my birthday. Hmmm, underwriting on my birthday, my how things change.

I'll keep you posted! Thanks for checking in....
