Pre-op day was not so bad. We got into see the surgeon very quickly. Then we went to the clinic and met the anesthesiologist. He said Hayden can eat solids up until midnight the night before, and can have formula up until 5 am the day of the surgery. From 5-7 he can have Pedialyte if he's hungry. They don't want him to get dehydrated. The whole procedure will last less than an hour and then an hour for recovery so he should be home by noon. They'll put a mask over him before they do the IV so he be so traumatized by the IV. He said Hayden isn't old enough yet for separation anxiety so they will just take him back without me. Well, I am not so sure about that. He's plenty old enough to know I am his mom and they are not. So I am just going to tell them that I'm going back with him until he's asleep. What's the big deal? I don't want him to be so scared. Oh, this is going to be hard. And you know what? His belly button looks a lot better. But they said it is not going to correct itself and the danger is that the intestine can get stuck in there and then cut off. So, we have to do it.
Got to think positivley. He's going to be fine. This is a very simple procedure.

I agree, I would want to be back there too till he falls asleep. Even with our super busy day tomorrow , we will be thinking of you guys too! Sending hugs and lots of love!
