Showers Galore!

This past weekend was a great weekend. The girls here at work had a shower for Hayden on Friday. It was really pretty, great food and very nice. You spend so much time with the folks you work with, it really is nice to spend some social time with them too. The entire staff was invited, so even a couple of guys came. I was really glad my co-worker decided against the "guess the girth" game. Hayden got lots of clothes and a baby monitor and music cd's and a piggy bank and much much more.

So on Sunday, my girlfriends had a shower for Hayden. This is one lucky boy. I couldn't believe the way they went overboard on gifts. Everything from the nursery items to the baby bath, to tons of more clothes! Some of the cutest clothes I have ever seen! The food was awesome, of course. My friend picked out the cake and boy did she do a good job. It was a basketball cake that had little players on it and it said "Welcome Hayden, Go Wildcats". It was Wildcat Blue. Perfect for the small basketball rivalry currently taking place in our house.

Susan and Larry got Hayden a very cool swing, that he can spends lots of time in and Ron and Jan got him a travel system stroller. It comes with the infant carrier so Hayden can run errands with me at work.


He will be the best-dressed kid ever. I am sure of that. I was overwhelmed at how much everyone is showing their support. I guess my hormones are raging, both showers made me cry. It's so nice to see that people care and want to help. I hope that I show them that we care that much for them too.

What great friends and family, we are truly blessed.
